Role Description:
As a member of the Northern Coatings Research and Development Team, you will be a critical part of a dynamic and diverse technical group focused on development and support of innovative, high quality industrial paint systems that deliver the value, quality, and performance that is the foundation of the Northern brand.

R&D Team members spend most of their time in a laboratory environment at our Menominee, MI facility engaged in research experiments driven primarily by direct input from customers, prospective customers, raw material suppliers, and regulators.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be English proficient and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Strong grasp of math skills such as percentages, fractions, and ratios.
• Observe safety and security procedures and operate equipment and materials properly.
• Candidates with permanent authorization to work in the United States are preferred, but those requiring sponsorship will also be considered. While specific subject area knowledge is helpful, we believe that knowledge can be taught, and that personality, attitude, and organizational fit is the key to success.

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay range for this position is $19-$23 per hour based on applicant qualification with raises based on merit. R&D Team members are eligible for paid vacation, company subsidized health insurance, and 401k retirement benefits. R&D Team members have flexibility with regard to work schedule and travel and are regularly sponsored by Northern to attend trade shows, educational seminars, and professional development programs.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
